DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES (8 May, 2019) - Weir Oil & Gas announced today it has been awarded a four-year contract with Oman Oil Company Exploration & Production (OOCEP) to provide wellhead equipment and services.

The contract, which will be carried out by Weir Oil & Gas Oman, reflects a strong commitment to Oman’s in-country value strategy and includes training for Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) technicians to provide in-country repairs to mechanical rotating equipment in interior workshops located in Marmul, Saih Rawl and Fahud.

In the Eastern Hemisphere, Weir Oil & Gas provides a comprehensive range of pressure control technologies, including wellheads and engineered solutions tailored to organizations’ projects. Weir Oil & Gas provides in-country Weir Edge™ Service Advantage and localised support through its Centres of Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence ensuring the Company can respond immediately to customers’ needs due to its close proximity to operators in the region.
